2024 News

An exciting event schedule in Ireland see’s the Feva as the most active double handed dinghy in Ireland.

Clubs and training centres base a lot of their courses around the RS Feva. With such popularity, many boats never leave a family meaning second hand boats are rarely available however this means new boats hold their value ensuring the Feva is a solid investment for any family.

This year in 2024 we have some exciting events below including the RS Fest in LDYC, and the team from Ballyholme are promising the following for the Nationals;

Ballyholme Yacht Club is hosting the Irish National Championships for RS Feva class on the 17&18 August 2024. This in itself will be a well attended event with a good Dublin sailing contingent and we are also expecting a good turnout from the Noirthern Ireland  Feva community as-well with a strong turnout in all 3 classes- Juniors (under 13) Seniors (18 and under) and Family(parent and child).

We are planning a fantastic weekend for the sailors and their families with fun evening events, Irish music, a sailors dinner and great prizes to make a memorable weekend. There will even be a chance to win a full set of brand new crispy RS Feva sails through our event raffle.

The Irish Nationals will be the main event with the uk feva class GP Series 24/25 running alongside. This is the first time a Feva Grand Prix will be held in NI. Again we are expecting a great turn out of boats from England, Scotland and Wales- with the good possibly of the Feva World champions (from Wales- Ben Greenhalgh and Tom Sinfield) also competing in the event.

The combined event could see 40 or more feva on the start line.
We have a limited number of charter boats available. Those interested to highlight this on their entry form.

On top of all this we are also providing a Feva team racing taster day on Friday 16th August. This will have a separate sign up and is an optional add on event and those taking part do not need to have any team racing experience. Boats will be placed randomly into teams on the day. This event will also have some super prizes.

There will be camping and motor home spaces available for those wishing to base themselves at the club and there is also a good range of airbnbs and holiday accommodation available nearby.
This should be on the radar of any club or family who owns a feva in the north or south of ireland to get their fevas ready up for a great weekend of family sailing.
